Join us for a public transit block party, where we will launch our campaign for better transit in Manitoba!
The current transit systems in Manitoba are weakened and underfunded, in part because of cuts under the previous provincial government.
Premier Wab Kinew has an opportunity and responsibility to keep his promise and restore matching provincial transit funding to improve the system.
We’re calling on Wab Kinew to restore the provincial 50–50 transit funding for Manitoba municipalities by the end of 2026, so that the Province matches all new operating investments in public transit.
This is a family friendly event featuring games, screen-printing, a photo booth, and a performance by Christine Fellows, John Samson Fellows and friends. We have a few other fun surprises in store too.
ACCESSIBILITY INFO: We will gather on the North side of the legislative building. Unfortunately there are no bathrooms onsite on the legislative grounds but Oh Doughnuts on Broadway has offered theirs (there are five steps leading to the entrance). There is no parking on the grounds, but people can be dropped off in the loop where the ground is flat and the stage is visible. There are several bike racks and street parking. Please get in touch if you have any questions about accessibility and we will do our best to accommodate!
Event schedule to follow!
